DIY Bath Bombs | DIY Gift Ideas

How to Make DIY Bath Bombs | DIY Gift Ideas

So if you’re like me, who wants to make her own homemade bath bombs, you're in for a treat. Personalize your bath bombs by following this easy tutorial. Make some for yourself or for your friends. If you’re looking for some DIY gift ideas, this should be included in your list!

What you’ll need for your DIY bath bombs:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salts
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. essential oil
  • 3 tsp. oil (olive oil)
  • food coloring (any color you want)
  • bowl
  • whisk
  • jar
  • bath bomb mold

Step 1:

Put all your dry ingredients in a bowl and mix them evenly with your whisk.

Step 2:

In a different container, add all your liquid ingredients and mix them together.

Step 3:

Put a small amount of your liquid mixture to your dry ingredients and mix it thoroughly. Mix until all the liquid has been absorbed by your dry ingredients. Continue adding small amounts of the liquid mixture until you’ve used it all up.

Step 4:

Now that you’ve mixed all the ingredients together, time to put it in the mold. Put a little more than what your mold can hold on both sides and press them together until it clips. You’d want to put more so your mixture get pressed together making it solid.

Step 5:

Once it’s pressed, gently tap it with a spoon to loosen your bath bomb.

Step 6:

Let your creation dry for 1-2 days. And you’re done!

Wasn’t that fun and easy. You can make it in different colors and different shapes. Have fun with it. Mix in different colors in your mold to make a galaxy bath bomb. Another tip, you can also add rose petals so when the bomb explodes, you’ll get a nice flower bath too. How cool is that?!

Crochet cheat sheet

Crochet cheat sheet

Hi, this past week I have been teaching a friend crochet, I’m not a master… yet, but I have been teaching her the basics. As I was teaching her the basic stitches I thought how useful would be a cheat sheet with the basic stitches, for the ones who are learning and for the ones that could get a bit confused now and then (like me).
So here it is, hope it is helpful for you too.

Have a nice day!

Animal Finger Puppet

Animal Finger Puppet

We don't have a color printer, so I made a b&w version as well as a color version. Just print them on cardstock, cut around the outside and cut out the bottom holes for the fingers to fit through, color them (optional), give them away! They then can cut the Valentine's sentiment off and have a puppet show!

P.S. I highly recommend you use a 5/8" circle punch like this if you are making a lot of these. My hands are sore and tired from cutting out those circles!
