DIY bow hair scrunchie
Here is another bow related do-it-yourself project: a fun hair tie for Spring.
I used fabric glue, but if you want you can sew instead.
What you need:
- 3 piece of fabric ( 30x10 cm, 19x8 cm and 3x8 cm - but it depends on how big you want your hair scrunchie be, mine was a medium one)
- a piece of elastic (mine was 10 cm)
- fabric glue (or a sewing machine)
- scissors
- falt iron
How to:
- Take the biggest piece of fabric. With the right side facing out glue the longer side of the fabric. Then fold it half to stick the two sides together. After the glue gets dry turn the fabric inside out and flat it down with ironing. Then get the elastic through the tube in the fabric and tie the ends together. Glue one end of the fabric and tuck it into the other end of the tube.
- Now take the medium sized fabric. We will make the bow. With the right side of the fabric facing out glue both of the longer sides half way. Then fold the fabric in half to stick the sides together. Wait until the glue gets dry. You have an opened side on the fabric. Fold the ends in and glue the two sides together.
- Take the little piece of fabric and glue one of the longer sides. Then fold it in half to stick the two sides together.
- Shape a bow with the medium fabric by pressing the two longer side together. Take the little fabric and place it in the middle. Then wrap it around and glue it. Cut off the leftover fabric.
- Glue the hair scrunchie where the ends meet and stick the bow on it.
And voilá you have your own handmade bow hair scrunchie.
